I think there was a thought in there.... Android is based on Linux, and iPhone on MacOS X/darwin. Yep, I know that. That's not relevant at all if the end user (& developer) can only interact with the webos layer, or the java layer, or the highly restrictive interface / apis in the iPhone.

My concern with Palm's offering is that its a toy playground only. I need a lot more then WebOS for what I want to do.

And make no mistake, if the HP deal goes through they'll suck the last of the life out of it
