Yes, we have released 2 updates to the extras-devel repository, hoping to get some testing before we make it generally available, see:

The second update (10alpha1-3 posted yesterday) has one additional crash fix when typing URLs. Any other improvements you think you see is all in your head.

Unfortunately I can't seem to get the package promoted into extras-testing. If anyone has any useful information on why, please post a reply to my question here: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=53544
