This is what happened to me. I just got the thing on Tuesday and when I reflashed it Wednesday afternoon the screen problems started. Unbelievable. This looks to be a very common problem, and somehow I missed it in all of the research I did before buying it. Of course I bought it from someone else who bought it new off of ebay. arrrgh!
