It may look hard but it's really easy... I have successfully flashed my firmware and the emmc to PR1.2 easily.. it only took me 3 minutes total..
you are right. literally took less than 3 minutes or less.

The guide looks scary because of the command prompt with eMMC flash.

eMMC is not necessary if I don;t want to clean up my storage. Therefore, 3 minutes is more than enough.
