I just got my N800 yesterday, flashed with the latest software.

I've used handbrake and converted a dvd to 400x240 resolution (mpeg4), copied to my 8gb sdhc, and the file played in the default media player just fine, however, the same file result in major, major stuttering when played with the mplayer.

Shouldn't the mplayer be more superior to the default media player? Why would a file played fine in the default media player, but have problem in mplayer?
