I did some time ago measurements about currents & powers and then calculated efficiency (uW/Hz). Results showed that 500MHz was most efficient frequency, 850MHz was quite equal. It means that IDEAL kernel settings are very optimal. I have a little bit smaller values than Titans IDEAL, but anyway quite the same. Link to measurements

During night time I have used 125MHz and 500MHz freqs. According to used frequencies (time_in_states), CPU will be at 125MHz over 90% of the time when device is not in sleep mode (=IDLE). This "night mode" gives quite nice and flat battery graph, ~0.7% reduction per 1h (even with mail polling once per hour).
