As someone who's used both, I really think that titan's kernel is the MUCH easier method. If you're comfortable flashing the kernel, then I promise you that installing titan's kernel from App Manager is an order of magnitude easier than that. Just instal the kernel and the power settings app. swith to root in xterm and type:
kernel-config load ideal
You'll be all set with a GREAT configuration.
