If you wanted to commiserate, you would have to fully know the mentality of the factory workers in China.

I've lived in Japan and have been to China quite a few times. I'll be honest, even that exposure is not enough for me to say that I understand fully what is going on. True, their pay is honestly low as hell to a westerner. But in those areas, they're making enough to send back to their families/relatives that are still in the rural areas.

Do I condone those conditions just to get a shiny new pair of Nike's or the next gadget? Hell no. Do I understand what would drive a person to jump off a building? Hell no. And I've been there.

So to try to get into conversation of why these people are doing it, you have to know their side, from their point of view and be able to eloquently state it where it's universally understood. That's not happening in this thread unfortunately.

Not yet at least. So why not start at what you do know... suicide is indeed bad and go from there?
