I think this product has great potential for increasing the base of N900 users. Take a look at this article's comments:

However, there is a problem of perception. Notice that no one on the comments mentioned anything about using Garnet under a Nokia device, in spite of the fact that it was mentioned in the article that it was already possible to do that. The reason is that when people read that line, their brain gets confused (Nokia? Virtual Machine? Uhh?) and unconsciously ignore it. What they all wanted to hear was that Palm (something they know and recognize) will be able to run their old Palm programs. Here is where marketing needs to come in and illustrate (make their brain familiar with) the ease of using Garnet Vm on the N900.
