It is definitely not enough, there's at least a 1.3 in the making. Hoping for more.

It was an interesting read up until you said Storm has the same features plus. This is simply wrong.

The list of hardware differences is humongous. I'll just tap:

Screen
BBS: 360 x 480, 3.25 in (83 mm)
N900: 800 x 480, 3.5 in, transreflective TFT

Camera
BBS: 3.2 MPx, 480 x 352 video
N900: 5.0 MPx Zeiss. 800x480 video

The list is extensive. N900 is superior in every way, save for a few where they both hit the technology limit. Plus, FM radio, transmitter, TV out, hardware keyboard, the works.

As for software, We're open. They have a wider feature set in apps, but next time he's hassling you, remind him that your phone doesn't revert to stone age when blackberry servers are down.

Well, I kid, partly, but N900 is a better hardware platform with an open if young OS (that will probably never grow up on this doomed device), whereas BBS is a mature product. Not that it doesn't have its quirks, but your friend probably never advertises the lack of decoder support, poorer browser, lockups, but boasts Office.

As soon as we can edit a spreadsheet we're going to take the battle to them.

I did a video call over Google Video Chat, was working pretty nice, including N900-to-N900. Handled poor WIFI surprisingly well.
