I'm really excited about this work! Many thanks to the folks working on it.

It seems like with a Y-cable you could use both a USB keyboard and a mouse together. Google spec-sheet searches show that keyboards use only 1mW and mice in the 60-90mW range. This is well under the 200mW supply.

The only things I need my laptop for that the N900 can't do are keyboard / mouse work in graphics and page layout apps. I'm very curious to see how well USB and overclocking enables these tasks. It would be like carrying my very-usable 10-year-old Linux box in my pocket.
