Its been discussed to update or not and answer is YES ( sorta you have to)

Afaik you cant use Ovi store without PR 1.2 because they were changes to app manager, repositories and much more. Sure it works fine with earlier versions but since its new without too many apps and you didnt discovered too many bugs yet update it OTA to avoid further complications
