What a stupid thread title.

Maybe you should have considered what was most important to you before you bought the n900.

Back in 2009 I nearly bought an android phone then discovered the n900.

The two important factors to me were:
(1) Must be open source in some way (Linux and/or development system)
(2) Must have physical keyboard

Then I discovered the n900 has a tv out. Then I bought it.

I am fully aware the n900 has shortcomings and I am still happy with it. PR1.2 added much needed polish to the software.


I understand not everyone is happy with the n900 and that's fine.

But to moan about non-smooth transitions of the screens or "slow" multitasking/task-switching is bordeline OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder).
