You dont need Google calendars at all. Just download the.ics file from here

Save to device N900(MyDocs).
Open file manager
Click on downloaded file
It will then ask you which Calendar to save to ie default N900 calendar or you can create a custom Worldcup calenar.
It will then inport dates/matches direct to calendar complete with timings and scheduled match coverage.
