The former will not give you a desktop-like browsing experience, the latter is not as portable. You just have to work out your priorities. As for the applications thing, it is all relative. If you expect this to be like the iPhone with thousands upon thousands of applications (even if of limited use) you should look for something else.

Same here. Unless I either accidentally destroy it or something else comes out with some feature I find to be of critical importance to me, I will stick with it.
