Spoken like a true white trash american kid, who's never heard of other sports than baseball and american football :P. Rugby has at least equal amounts of strategy, tactics and physical action. Australian football (that I find helplessly stupid) is probably even more aggressive in terms of "physical action". Cricket is also a very strategic game, and requires physical endurance that most people can only dream of (go on and play for 5 days straight in blistering sun).

It's called football. It's in a completely different league than gridiron, so please keep the subject on-topic. This is a thread about the Fifa World Cup.

You should bet. USA winning versus England is rated at 6-to-1.

I didn't watch the games yesterday, but I heard it was plenty boring. France sucked, as usual, and didn't manage to score a flimsy goal. South Africa seems to have a good team, but a draw against Mexico doesn't bade very good for them. I'm quite scared of their (SA's) goalie, as he had to be saved by one of his defendants just 2 minutes into the game. Shame for SA that they couldn't hold their advantage after being in the lead for over half an hour.

Looking forward to seeing how Argentina plays, and also how Germany plays. England seems very hopeful, as always, because they haven't won the World Cup since the infamous Ghost Goal and Geoff Hurst, the only player to ever score three goals in a world cup final, in 1966.
