I have spent more time on this now and it seems that ogg vorbis files may not be supported? I have a few mp3’s and they work exactly as you describe. Once the (mp3) tracks are being played then, with interaction with the sound, the icons start to make sense and I can figure most of them out.

Is there a fix for my ogg issues? I have installed ogg-support and, as I have said, these files play perfectly in UKMP.
But... do they play with the default Nokia player? Probably not. And that's the issue. I've mailed the OGG maintainer about this and we're not sure why OGG support doesn't work *sometimes* on the n800. It works fine on the 770. And it seems to work on the maintainer's n800. But it doesn't work on mine or yours.

BTW, this isn't a Kagu issue. It's an OGG on n800 issue. The reason why UKMP works is because UKMP uses gstreamer rather than the Nokia Media Player by default. Kagu uses the Nokia Media Player.

This is why we listed Ogg support in the change log at the beginning of this thread as "initial":

* Initial OGG support (requires ogg support in the system, upstream ogg on n800 may be broken)

I'll see if I can harass the OGG maintainer some more about this issue.
