Great advice, I've used this method since day one and knock on wood no problems here. About middle of the road, when I first heard about the problems, I also filed down the two hooks with a fine metal file and there is no resistance when using the cable. Can't really find a reason for those hooks anyway since who uses the N900 in such extreme charging positions to actually need such prevention method.
