Okay whilst my N900 was sent off for repairs (and came back unrepaired) I was using a blackberry. The blackberry app is not an offline one like N900 with the whole bible on your device. Rather it is an online app so when you use it it takes you to a website with the bible (website is you version). Does that explain why all versions are available on the blackberry app? Presumably although some versions of the bible are licensed you can still view those versions online, just can't copy send, download, etc.
