Please vote for this bug: https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9238 I am sure that this is not a Tmobile problem, as I never experienced this with my n95. I did however, experience something very similar with my old ipaq years ago and it was resolved through a firmware upgrade. For now, I just use the 2g/3g applet to poll the network manually when i lose service and it finds it again. This seems to be an issue of the dual mode functionality - it will not find automatically find a strong 3g signal as often as it should in my experience
