Yeah, though the tap,tap+drag gesture is hard to make w/o a stylus. And you'll only be copying the basic text; you'll get no images or formatting in the destination note.

To select text, you have to tap the area you want to select, then tap and hold the stylus down, then drag the selection area until the text you want is highlighted. Then use the Edit|Copy menu option in the browser, and the Edit|Paste option in Notes.
