I know this is basically a Linux community and that the Linux community's general hobby after penguin photoshopping is bashing MS. But let's try to keep it down to a running joke. (THIS community has been among the best I ever met, my respect for Maemo.org)

Windows for mobile platform is stable, as stable as any other OS for the same platform. And mature. I have no idea what troubles you've had in the past with CE, but I have several devices with CE and none of them have as much as displayed an error, let alone crash, leak, etc.

Let's not forget, the whole load of navigation systems have iGo or similar software, that runs over CE. When was the last time one of those blue-screened?

It may have Debian on it, but it's wasn't made to run anything. It has an ARM at the core and, let's not forget, ARM is a Microsoft Certified Partner.

As for the elusive drivers, I'm sure it's not quite a shot in the dark. My PNA has CE and interfaces video acceleration, touchscreen, bluetooth, GPS, FM radio and transmitter. It also decodes audio, video, images and has pinouts for serial links that can be used to attach if you have a screwdriver. I'm having a hard time believing it's impossible, especially since Texas Instruments lists it for their 65 nm chip.

Stop that.
