It's way off topic but yes, Easy Debian will probably be around for both "real" MeeGo and Maemo 6 MeeGo Harmattan. MeeGo and Harmattan have a lot in common with current Debian releases, and should work fine, as should Ubuntu...

And no, Easy Debian has never been "encouraged". That would have taken all the fun out of it!
