Don't worry about people not developing apps for the N900 the community is more active now creating and updating apps than we have ever been, we wont forget about the N900 as most of us probaby wont even get the next device. I for one will continue developing for this device for at least the next year, even if I manage to get the next one, I'll always try to maintain backward compatibility with N900 It would be foolish not to and not much work tbh.
