No matter, Phone UI eats 100% CPU, the rest of the phone is unusable while in a call. I tried wifieye today while on a call, trying to debug wireless at work. I waited 5 minutes for wifi to refresh ONCE. I had to hang up every reading. Several other applications couldn't even start while on a call.
Overall, even if allowed, media player would be useless while in a conversation.
Which makes little sense to me. Where do these CPU cycles go? Why? How come hardware-assisted audio eats more than encoding video? I'm starting to understand why recaller has problems.
