1) Just two short remarks:
- Not all debs one may find somewhere in the wild in a folder named N800 or bora or maemo can indeed be installed on an ITT. For instance, neat apps contacts and dates have some dependencies which are not fulfilled if you install the newest rtcom-beta.
- As of ncurses, I had huge problems after making the mistake of installing ncurses-bin from one of the repositories. (You may find some comments on this package in this forum.) Neither apt-get install -f nor apt-get remove ncurses-bin helped, I ended up reflashing the device.

And a N800 without a wireless access is indeed just half of the fun.
