Actually, I really go from 7 hours to 48 hours of battery time because of the setting, I think.

And some people here have the same view.

It is easy to find that 100mW use more power than 10mW.

You said it was a bug, then is this bug fixed in PR1.2 ?
If not, then I think this setting still helps to save the battery.
