My simple steps:

1. Install "rootsh". Doesn't matter what version.
2. Install the package "Enhanced linux kernel for power users" (section 'system' in application manager).
3. Shutdown the phone and power back up again.
4. Now install "Enhanced kernel for power users (settings)" (section 'system' in application manager).
