Just re do it again and follow all steps.
Make sure you reformat your memory card.
Don't bother stuffing around - Redo all steps. Check gparted to make sure the partition is good (No triangle with !).

Happened to me yesterday. Redoing all steps fixed it all.
I'm triple booting! (2.1, 2.2 and maemo)
