i think i got it!
i just had a strange thought about the PR 1.2 SMS auto-sending and COST:
what if they are trying something like a "hacker tax" ?
that means every time one of us flashes the N900 with god knows what operating system and then reverts to PR 1.2 he *MUST* pay a 'little' fee of 0.15 or 0.30 or anyhow SOMETHING, depending of country, operator, etc. to use the original OS again
everybody knows that the N900 is mostly used by developers, hackers, etc. linux 'geeks' and they flash and reflash alot
heck i flashed 3 times by now and i dont know squat about any of the above
think about the total revenue of this 'tax', even if its split with the operator, there isnt just 1(one) SMS per user...
what do you think?
