Okay, I did this but the tablet just locks up and eventually states that it's no longer responding.

Could you test your side with this video when you have a chance?

While no compatibility with osso-media-player is guaranteed at this setting most stuff will play in the regular media player. The "best" setting of tablet encode which does guarantee playability in osso-media-player is the same as mplayer with a video bitrate of 768 instead of 1200.
Well, I know I'm pushing the tablet much harder than it can probably handle, but I really like overall the results I get with my settings.

For now, I'll just continue to launch them directly from mplayer instead.

Oh, and pycage, ignore stupid comment about the music player not being in full screen. For some reason, I thought I saw a different image of what it should look like but was wrong.

I tend to be wrong quite a lot now days. Stupid brain.

EDIT:
Just to add something about my .avi movies. If I select mplayer as the back end to play them through Media Box, it looks as though it's software scaling the resolution instead of hardware scaling like mplayer does.

Do I have a wrong setting somewhere? Thanks.
