The Avaa has totally different hardware drivers than the N900. Two different stories. Don´t make conclusions based on the wrong assumptions.

and that out of the blue everything was rpm, going as far as requiring fedora to build a image. This is basically moblin2 with a Qt layer of paint.

As if the MeeGo Handset UX was sharing any code with Moblin? It´s entirely sitting on top of Qt.
