You can customize the way most of the application looks (including the font size). You will find more information on previous posts and I think I also have some on my web site

Don't get me wrong - I like it and I really appreciate your efforts! But personally I'm quite happy with the N900 built-in phonebook/contacts app (sorting, grouping, search, online presence) and don't see the need to re-implement those features... But, the desktop widget and the per-group ring tones are what's missing and what is the killer features! Keep up the good work! Thank you.
There is very little practical gain on separating them - you can just not use the one you don't like. I agree with you about installing the widget directly on the desktop (like any other widget) and surviving reboots though....
