I VPN in to the office network and reach several sites via browser (I have some web pages set up especially to deliver me some database info, others are part of our systems). I do some command line work via ssh. I haven't found rdesktop to be too useable, but it does work in a pinch.

Mostly I email and IM on the go, and make use of the above to answer questions or take quick actions as needed.
