Thread: when i call someone on my n900 and this person i'm trying to call is waiting with someone my n900 don't tell me that the call is waiting !!! why ???

the call waiting notification is a network feature, and has to send out a specific tone to the phone to 'tell' the phone that the other party is in an existing call.

My N900 does that, and I'm on the O2 network in the UK, but I have heard that certain networks are not capable of sending out notifications...
