Yeah, then respond to any answer otherwise others would regard you as troll. ^^

i have the maps downloaded in my device
thats not the data consuming part, the widgets and software update is.. and it keeps asking me to go online, otherwise it wont find my location
You're doing it wrong then. I'm sorry I can't give you further instruction on this. You could refer to Nokia's forum for details.

vsync or increase framerate for scrolling
basically the same thing
Say, what app you're referring to?

internet restrictions! exactly! and no java or java settings.. besides, i want it universal.. for every app that needs internet access
Do you realize that other phone is single-tasking so restricting the network access in general basically means restricting the network access of the entire phone while your app is running. Just turn off the network when you run your app in the foreground. If you wanna restricting network access of the background job, then it's N900 specific, and it can only be done in N900's way. It can be done, but I don't see why you should do that.

i've seen the project.. well its not for n900 specifically, its for resistive touchscreen.. and i wanted someone who knows what he's saying to answer it, not jus some guy who has a vague idea
Just like I said before, I'm the someone who don't care if N900 has multi-touch.

And I don't know why you can't google the keywords 'multi-touch n900' yourself and instead ask for someone to tell you. There's even video for this project, and you keep telling me that it doesn't exist just because no one else tell you and you don't believe me?

media box and other players cant use the desktop widget.. can they?
play pause from desktop is alot easier *for me atleast, maybe used to it*
If you want widget then stick to the original one. If you can't live with the fact that all programs has strength and weakness one way of the other then you can make you own one with all the strength in one, then make huge profit out of your achievement.

Even other phone's media players have weakness you got to live with, at least N900 gives you options to choose. Be nice to it.

Also, I need to remind you that media players in N900 are not just limited to default, mediabox or symfonie, there're many other I don't list because I haven't tried them. You need to do your own research if you want to find one suits you.

ntdroid and other os porting needs drivers for closed components
thats the issue
And that is the fault of opensource how? (I wish you remember what's your original supposition)

photo browser can go portrait?
how? :-/
Turn the freaking phone in up right position. I must ask again are you really using N900?

"there is a solution, just look for urself" are u jus sayin that or there really are solutions? and portrait isnt my idea, i jus collected others issues /solutions over other threads
thats goes for extended call log too *i already have it*
The part I tell you to look for yourself is that the detail solution is just 3 second googling away. You know some of your question involved long list of procedures that can be found anywhere but here. We can just spoonfeed you that far in a simple reply.

none, and they kinda lag in the beginning, perhaps coz it starts from where i left is the last time? :-/
Try SiB or Kmplayer then.

tap the middle
lol
no its its already done by then
i think its coz phone is in landscape and calls are in portrait
I told you to look at the menu for the configuration of phone app to prevent this from flipping which I don't think you've done so, right?

powersaving is more like a widget.. but it'll do for the meanwhile
Try it, it's so great. I always use it while I"m not using the internet. Of course, you'd like to make another script to bring back all the connections, which isn't included in the widget.
