It's funny if you consider who solved the problem and ended up leading in terms of UI in 'this day and age'. I wouldn't take good ui for granted. It seems like such a simple thing, but many have tried and failed.

Uh, they're welcome to join the fray if they want to; sure they'll win on spec and sheer strength... but they'll run out of juice before the battle starts.
(This is coming from an ex-tablet PCs owner).
