I did drop mine down the toilet and it didn't affect it. Takes more than water to break a brick.
If I did break it though there's no way I would buy another one, mostly for pragmatic reasons (not the idealised fanboy-ism of others):
1.
Its year old hardware.
2.
Software/OS's have moved on a lot as well as the hardware in the last year.
3.
You can't even get it new now - and I'd always avoid second hand phones.

Nokia are a business and have chosen a path of using the OSS community phenomenon to reduce their overheads specifically after sales support and development. Unlike Apple who do the opposite and make a killing from their Applications store.
