I have had wonderful warranty service from Kingston.

I had a memory stick fail in my desktop after a couple of years. When I phoned them to discuss the problem they did not try to argue about whose fault it was. They accepted both sticks from a pair for return under warranty. They sent me two new sticks by FedEx immediately (the same day). The FedEx packet included a prepaid return FedEx mailer and customs paperwork (I live in Canada) for sending back my old sticks. They did take my credit card number when they sent me the new sticks so that if I did not return the old ones then they would have charged me for the new ones. No charge appeared on my credit card.

Frankly, I was amazed as I generally don't expect anything from a company warranty - especially when they say 'lifetime warranty'.

I don't know if Kingston gives a lifetime warranty on their SD cards, but the Kingston MMC card that I just bought does have a lifetime warranty.

I now try to buy Kingston memory whenever possible.

PS. It might be worth calling Kingston to ask their opinion of using their cards in N800s. They have a vested interest in not getting warranty returns.
