I'm looking forward to the time when operating system updates don't require scrapping everything and rebuilding application by application.

On a similar note, it would be cool if we created a repository of various "loads." That is backups with the most popular applications like Meamo Mapper, Canoloa and MPlayer. If we had a few dozen different configurations in there it would give people a real jumpstart...especially the newbies. This is the advantage of us all working with the same hardware.
