I said it's odd because Toronto is like what London is for UK or New York is for USA; it's the finacial capital of Canada.
I found it a bit wierd also. My N800 arrived by mail a week ago now and the first thing I did was go through the settings to customize everything. I was blown away that the selection of a very few Canadian cities includes Collingwood, Ontario but does not include Toronto still. That's like including Tipawego, Utah (if such a place exists) without including Woshington, DC.

The addition of Toronto to the Maemo selectable locations would be something I and probably many others would like to see. Currently, not being able to select my true home location is reaking havoc with any location based software. The world clock thinks I live in Europe. Mapper also always starts with a European home location. Heck, anything that's making use of the user's home location is borked for the 2.5 million potential Nokia customers and the few of us geeks that already baught and love the N800.

I'll probably repost in the N800 forum to be more on topic. As a FOSS loving geek, I'm thankful for all the time volunteered by the developer community but of my short wish list, being able to easily add missing locations or at least select Toronto is pretty high up. Heck, even the T5 allows one to add cities for active use from a comprehensive stored list.
