If you are running Linux on your home machine, another thing you might try is using sshfs and a domain you've set up at DynDNS.org. Then mount your music to some convenient folder on your Nokia. Then you don't need to run a web server and you can open your files from the audio player or from file manager.

It was fairly easy to set up on my Ubuntu box, as I had already set up ssh and I was accessing my music and other files offsite anyway. I think I had to set up becomeroot, xterm and openssh on the Nokia before I could set up sshfs.

I can stream music to the Nokia very well this way, use playlists, etc.
