Yeah, I don't wanna add too many 'rows of buttons' though. I already plan to put an (optionaly hidable) toolbar to the bottom. I was thinking maybe sliding the finger on the location textbox left or right would be a good way to switch tabs.. But I don't know how feasible such gestures are with QT yet.
That optional hidable toolbar would be great and somewhat a necessity for file handling on such a small screen. I am with you on not cluttering the view more than it already is. I would like it even less cluttery but that would mean menus.. which you didn't like

Also how hard would it be to incorporate some SSH support/handling. I don't think there is a SSH gui on the n900 yet. Together with bookmark handling it could become very usable.
