I have been reading posts in this thread for ages now and have picked up a that games with /usr/games/psx4m -runcd /pathtogame. But do they need to be specific formats? I have an file that I want to try but it is an iso with a bin file. the above path to the iso gives and erro but to the bin it tells me it's running, shows me a list of settings but then does nothing.

I have the bios (scph1001.bin) in /home/user/Mydocs. Not sure if there is anything else I need to do or if it is just that the image is in the wrong format.
It sounds all good. I'm using *.bin files as well. Some work (Driver, Gran Turismo, Crash Bandicoot 3), but some just don't work for me (Tekken 3, NFS III). So maybe it's not your fault. Maybe the file is just not working with the emu. You could try anotherone, in order to see if the problem is caused by the comand line input or the image.

Edit: Just as info. This is a very useful tip by MiK546 to get the emulator started faster.

1. Type "sudo ln -s /usr/games/psx4m /usr/bin/psx4m"
2. After this you can run psx4m from anywhere by just typing "psx4m"
