If neither is true, then maybe some application went out of control and has written almost 2 GB of (maybe temporary) data.

maybe both cases in this scenario...

i'm trying to clean it but the builtin file manager is not user friendly, so no idea where to start... gpe file manager seems to help identify the home location, but deleting keeps throwing denied access error, dont beleive files/folder are locked by any process, maybe someone should build a file explorer that can delete files from these key locations. example cannot remove openarena folder.
