In only regards to the touch screen itself, I want:

• Modularity based on industry standards of size and interface
• Open source drivers
• Scratch proof
• One of the following
  • A hybrid capacitive/resistive screen that I could control all functions of both technologies as I see fit.
  • A screen with new technology that has all of the good and none of the bad of the above mentioned technologies.

I'll deal with all software issues myself, and I would expect to pay a premium.
