Yeh that annoys me too. I was comparing browser speeds with my friend's iphone 3gs using my home network. My n900 kept doing this 'loading' behavior while the 3gs was beginning to load the page. Then the page quickly loaded on the n900 but the 3gs still managed to be 1 or 2 seconds quicker. We tested a few websites and it happened every time. The fact that microB is a couple of seconds slower than safari doesnt bother me, its just that weird loading at the start. It feels like its trying to reconnect to the network with each page load, but its already connected.
