At least fundamentally, there is really no limit to what Linux can do due to its openness whereas iXXX are pretty much "closed". Since iXXX is being pushed as the best things ever which can/will do all sort of wonderful thing; then it is unavoidable that some people would have the "hate" responses. You got some people would hate about anything without reasons or with agenda; but then that is life.
