that is what makes me think, your transitions does not make the background blur (remains bright and is zoomed).

what i am experiencing now is, the background still is bright when menu is tapped, but the effect of app icons appearing is the default effect..

my custom transitions in /usr/share/hildon-desktop is the copy of the plastic theme transition.ini file.

EDIT: and you are correct!!! every folder that is tapped gives the fade-in effect of the default one! but the rest is okay.
