I took another card and tried it in the internal slot and no card showed up in the file manager. So it is the slot, not any card that is at fault.

Has anyone else seen this? Anyone have any ideas?

Look on the battery cover, there is a small square below the silver slide release, in the small square should be be a magnet. This magnet is used to close a magnetic activated switch on the main board which is used to let the operating system know when it is ok to write/read to the card in the internal memeory slot.

So my first guess is either the magnet is not there or the magnetic switch is not working correctly. The issue may be software related but this is something that is simple to check first. Good Luck and post if this is or isn't the cause of the problem and I'll try to think if there is anything that can be the cause.
